Citrofresh is a phytopharmaceutical of organic origin. Citrofresh is extracted from the pith of oranges through a specialized process. The extract contains a mixture of Bioflavonoids and organic acids, (Ascorbic acid, Citric acid). This powerful, antimicrobial agent is mixed with other food grade, natural and safe products to produce Citrofresh.

Citrofresh acts mechanistically by destroying the cellular membrane of a micro-organism. The efficacy of Citrofresh is due to a synergistic reaction created between the non-toxic bioflavonoids, ascorbic acid and other natural organic acids that are included in the formulation. Citrofresh is carried in a food safe solvent, which makes the active ingredients infinitely soluble in water. It is completely organic and is certified by Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA).

In 1996, Mr Ravi Narain a large abalone processor and food technologist observed that a natural product might be available instead of using harsh chemicals for assisting the processing and cleaning areas of his business. Mr Narain found the only products available were of a chlorine or quaternary based ammonium nature so he embarked upon his own trials to develop our naturally derived product and created the 100% organic sanitiser and shelf life extension now known as Citrofresh.

Citrofresh is odourless and colourless at the recommended concentrations. Citrofresh products are generally non perfumed.

Citrofresh is almost colourless at the recommended concentrations. Citrofresh concentrate is amber in colour.
